About Company: Ather Energy has built India’s first intelligent electric scooter. We manufacture two scooter models at present – 450 and 450X. We have also established an electric vehicle charging network called Ather Grid. The company is based in Bangalore and was founded in 2013 by Tarun Mehta and Swapnil Jain. Our manufacturing facility is set up in Whitefield. We own and operate our own experience centers (called Ather Space) to give our customers a complete ownership experience. We’ve recently launched the Ather 450X, which is set to hit 10 cities across India by the end of 2020. Our customers believe that electric vehicles will shape urban commute in the years to come. They choose to own the experience of a vehicle that is built from scratch, offers an unparalleled ride, and is powered by intelligence.
Job Description
- You will be responsible for the development and maintenance of our iOS applications, aimed at a range of iOS devices including mobile phones and tablets.
- Your primary focus will be development of iOS applications and their integration with back-end services.
- You will be working alongside other engineers and developers working on different layers of the infrastructure. Therefore, a commitment to collaborative problem solving, sophisticated design, and the creation of quality products is essential.
QUALIFICATIONS for Ather Energy Hiring Freshers
- 2- 7 years of Prior experience working on iOS based applications.
- Should have deployed iOS Applications to the App Store and maintained the code.
- Requirements :
- Strong knowledge of iOS Platform
- Strong knowledge of the Swift Language, UI Kit and Core Data
- Ability to design applications around natural user interfaces, such as “touch”
- Familiarity with RESTful APIs to connect to back-end services
- Strong knowledge of iOS design principles, patterns, and best practices
- Experience with offline storage, threading, and performance tuning
- Ability to understand business requirements and translate them into technical requirements
- Familiarity with cloud message APIs and push notifications
- A knack for benchmarking and optimisation
- Proficient understanding of code versioning tools, such as Git
- Good Problem solving Skills
- Knowledge of SwiftUI is a plus

WHAT YOU’LL DO AT ATHER: A successful candidate is expected to lead the Firmware development and integration effort for various Ather products and be responsible for qualifying and integrating FW at various stages with HW. Responsibilities include: Understanding requirements from different stakeholders and translating these to application features Writing high quality source code to program complete applications within deadlines Unit-testing code for robustness, including edge cases, usability, and general reliability Performing functional and non-functional testing Troubleshooting and debugging applications Designing creative prototypes according to specifications Evaluating existing applications to reprogram, update and add new features Developing technical documents and handbooks to accurately represent application design and code Identifying and communicating possible risks along with preventive and corrective measures Designing HW/SW integration while working with HW/Algorithms/Cloud teams to deliver an integrated solution.
